A start, no restart

I drove my finder home and then when i get ready to leave an hour or so later, it starts then dies. I restart then it stutters and dies and i get no throttle response. Now it just spins over with no start at all. Just wondering what you guys thought about that. Thanks in advance for any tips. i kinda smell rich after a few tries so i'm feeling an ignition system failure somewhere.
