A scraping sound when car is in reverse,

I appreciate all advice with this. I have a 2001 Sentra and when the car is in reverse there is a heavy scraping sound. I checked a couple of times and there isn't anything under the car. Any thoughts on what this is, and how I can fix it.

Is it once you're in reverse gear or once you're moving, under acceleration or just rolling?

Any excess vibrations in the shifter? (manual or auto, by the way?)

Could be that it's not engaging all the way.

Is your ebrake completely disengaged?
