Ohhhhhhh, I am still in shock. This must be the worst day of my life. I was driving on a rural neighborhood access road, "maybe" speeding a little. All of a sudden out of ****ing nowhere there is a deer like right on the apex of a tight turn, just standing in the road. Tried to avoid but lost control and went into the grass. Let me give a word of warning... grass has absolutely no ability to slow your car down while braking. did a 180 in the grass and slammed into an oak tree on the passengers side. ouch. hit right between tire and passenger door and bounced a few feet back. I am fine and I had to wait for AAA for like 3 hours, and I am actually suprised how few people stopped to make sure I was ok. But I am glad, it gets repetitive.

I am kind of glad this happened before I did any mods, so far all I had was a 300zx fuel filter and exhaust tips! But I did have to put nearly $1500 into the car to pay for brakes and suspension when I bought it. Already looking for a new 240, but can't seem to find many right off the bat. I am planning on parting this one out as much as possible, most of the car, including the engine, is intact but the frame is bent to hell. I'll try to get some pics up

We need to keep a tab on all the 240's sent to car heaven. I swear there should be a memorial stone slab somewhere where the names of the cars could be etched to remember forever.

Man i'm sorry to hear that whats that 2 s13's in like 2-3 weeks just on these boards alone. Glad to hear your alright should have just wiped the deer all over the road might have caused alil less damage than the tree. Just curious did you have full comprehensive or liability for insurance?

and anotheroh, I only had liability. Pretty dumb of me now that I think about it. I just didn't want to pay the value of the car every year or so for insurance. I was going to get a full coverage policy after I started putting money into the car.

Poor car just cool that yoru alright and you didn't spin another 180degrees and end up you against that tree. You'll still have alot of usuable and sellable parts now so just think of each part you sell as an upgrade for the car you get;)

Don't feel to bad i've only got liability myself, and alil under a year ago, 3 weeks after owning my car and still learnign to drive a clutch, I took a turn alil to quick while it was drizzling did a 180 and slide down a 3 ft incline into a ditch. After a month in the bodyshop and 2500 dollars later my baby was on the road again.

Thanks for everyone's support. I am still trying to decide whether to go for another hatchback, or a newer coupe, cause money is sort of an issue (there goes my new engine).

Anyway, yeah if anyone wants some parts let me know. I am gonna start putting them up on ebay soon, but I am gonna let all you NICO guys have the first pick!

Sorry to hear that. Stupid *** deer. Next time, just hit the deer. You'll still damage the car, but not nearly as much. Plus you won't have to buy food for a while. My dad hit a deer in my mom's 280zx, and I don't think anything got damaged except for maybe a few scratches. All of the rednecks who stopped were asking if they could have the deer.

Anyway good look in your search for another car.

Deers have some sort of weird, innate ability to stand in the ABSOLUTELY WORST part of a turn. I'm glad that you're alright. Too bad about the car. Good observation about grass.

lol....funny, but how come everytime i look at this thread i think it says 240 KIA.....as in a hybrid of some sorts between a KIA and a 240. Oh well, i guess i just see things differently.
