Got a New Year's resolution for those of you who frequent our little corner of teh internets...

In 2011, make it a point to click this link search.php?search_id=unanswered at least once per visit.

If there's something on the first page that you know a little something about, post a reply... If you don't have an answer, but know someone who does, shoot a link over to that person, and post up that you;re looking for an answer to their question... Or, if you just want to welcome someone aboard, do that too. :)

Most of those unanswered posts are new people, and you guys remember what it's like to be new. It's nice if someone at least acknowledges your post, even if there's not an answer right away.

I've asked our staff to keep an eye in there as well, but you guys are the ones with the expertise. Let's help some n00bs in 2011. :)

Thanks all! :bigthumb:

If I cannot make it to said search button every day, I apologize.

As a token of my apology, I give you this waffle.

I know its in the "User Control Panel" already, but perhaps (depending on the difficulty) place a sticky link in the announcements section of each forum to this "Unanswered Posts" section? Just so its always right in your face...

Just a suggestion!

If you still choose to ignore the request, Greg will send his Ninja turtle over.

Here's hidden video of the dog that kept pooping in his yard:

There's a link on the sidebar. Even if you don't know the answer, don't be afraid to step in and just say "hi" or "welcome." I can tell you from experience how much of a difference that can make in making one want to stick around.

Yes. I know spamtards make fun rage outlets, but it's a lot easier for us to clean up after them if the thread isn't full of a bunch of posts by legitimate members.

It really is important that we all try out best to make this a welcoming, friendly, and helpful atmosphere. It is so easy to do!

The link is on the bottom left corner of every NICO forum page... "view unanswered posts".

Many of these posts are in the For Sale sections, so those can be disregarded, but if you see any other thread that hasn't been answered, please try to find the time to help out.

It's much easier than you think! You don't need to be an ASE certified mechanic to help most of the people out. Many times you can simply use the search function on there behalf and help lead them to the answers that already exist on the forum. Many times you can even admit that you don't know the answer, but welcome them to the forum and mention that hopefully someone else can pop in and help out, etc..
