Hello All,

I am looking for a little guidance and to tap the knowledge of fellow vert forum members who may have some words of wisdom for me.

I have a few verts currently and one of them(a keeper) has a top that was cut in several places, long cuts that went straight through the headliner too.

I really want to just swap the bad top for the good one off my parts car(frame and all). I am curious if any of you could tell me what or if any issues I could run into doing this. I do have both FSM supplementals for the convertible. And from the looks of it I should be able to just unblolt the entire frame, with top/headliner installed and swap it onto the damaged top vert.

Am I right that this should be pretty easy? From the manual it looks like I should just have to unbolt the retaining strip at the rear, then just remove the bolts where the top/hinge assembly is bolted to the car just past the rear quarter windows, it should then just lift off complete and intact. Does this seem right? I thought this would be a free way of getting a good undamaged top on one of the cars I plan on keeping.

Any input or tips that can be offered is much appreciated.

Thank you,

Torso

I've not done the job myself.

So, this is the best info I can give you.
