The NYTimes is bad in this regard - particularly more so than others.
Are you saying what The NY Times printed is not true?
No, I am saying that none of the western media bother to print/talk the GOOD things and the NY Times is particularly bad in this regard. Plenty of evidence available if you want to look for it.
As just one example, here is a note on William Dalrymple talking about Pakistan:

Here is the account of an American who has traveled extensively in Pakistan - read it rather than the one-sided pap you get from newspapers:

Hardly!

A totally inaccurate comparison that shows how little you know about the country.
Unlike North Vietnam, Pakistan isn't (a) fighting a war with a super power, (b) engaged in an internal civil war, (c) being bombed daily by air, and (c) trying to rebuild an economy in shambles, etc., etc.
It is a modern country (with remnants of old crap behavior, yes) with far more openness than is reported on (and, yes, there are some closed minded behavior). Combined with a human culture that actually prides itself on its hospitality (of course, there are stupid exceptions), it is a place where any foreigner can visit with ease.
Did you bother checking the links I provided in an earlier post?
