a really dumb question about the 300zx noise

I got my 300zx about 3 weeks ago, driven it back home 2hr+ and it been sitting every since. school started so I havent to really got the time enjoy it, and let alone clean the car up since the body is in no way of being in good shape. ( big damage on the driver door ugh and minor dent on the rear which I posted a week ago). none the less its a extremely fun car except I wish it was more nimble.

so before I take my 300zx to get it pass smog by fixing the egr tmr.

I want to ask when I start up my Auto TT model 300zx is it normal to sound like a muscle car? it is pretty loud and even with the door close my interior is really noisy not sure if thats normal either. sound like this video I found on youtube, http://youtu.be/5Rls-z5KIws , but his look modded and mine is totally stock.

also when I drive the sound inside the interior just get a lot noisy, given I am accelerating but the constant droning for long period drive is not satisfying and my solution is to open up the window to drown out the noise, and even when not accelerating the constant noise is also unbearable for long period

I search online people recommend dynamat, but i want to make sure is this normal? or is there something wrong with my car? plus my interior has rattling noise but I probably need to tighten up all the parts that come loose over the 20 year period.

yeah if you have a exhaust leak or aftermarket exhaust the cabin will be loud no way around it. both videos sounded ok to me...

i guess i will just have it check since its at the shop getting it to pass smog. just keep finding more and more issues
