Yesterday I hauled a load of stuff that was kinda messy to the dump. The back of the PF had dirt, leaves, and wood chips.
I figured I'd get the shop vac out and clean it up before Adm. Linda got on my case about it, but first I'd do some
yardwork. While I had the leaf blower out, MMM, lets see if we can blow that stuff out of the PF. 15 seconds later,
it was clean as a whistle. And a better job than the shop vac, esp. in the corners.

Great idea. I was using my leaf blower this afternoon, and it never crossed my mind to do the Pathy with it.

It's especially disturbing to me as a diver. It only takes 1/10 of an atmosphere overpressure
to blow a gasket in the lungs. Never ever point a leaf blower or a pressure washer at any
living thing you care about.

x2!!

I thought an awesome idea to dry the Path quicker after washing would be to use leafblower. Didnt work out that great. Cleaning out the cargo, great idea.

There are a number of folks on CorvetteForum that swear by using a leaf blower to get most of the water off as a way of
preventing water spots. I've found that a soft water hose bib is a simpler solution, at least for the PF. The 'vette gets
dried.

Thanks Chuck, I think it is the leaf blower itself. Saw a new infomercial for a new Worx blower. May have to spring for it. The leafblower I have has attatchments that dont hold together well. What is a soft water hose bib? Interested. Dont have the time or energy I used to, to spend wkends detailing SUV's anymore.

A hose bib is what you attach a garden hose to. Usually they are hooked up to the hard water side. I have one (of several)
that's hooked up to the soft water side of the water softener. I have a boat that gets put in salt water about 70 days a year
and needs to have the salt rinsed off when I get it home. I was tired of drying it off to prevent water spots so I installed a
hose bib on the output of the water softener.

If you want to get a good leaf blower, look at what the professional gardeners are using: Husquevarna, Echo, Stihl, Poulan, and
there's one more I can't remember off the top of my head. In 35 years of home ownership, I've gone through at least one and often two homeowner grade power garden tools. No more.
