ok, so i will be purchaseing turbo stuff for my s13 ka24de to complete the kit and i already have some of the parts.i will be running.......

T25 turbo from red topBlitz 3in downpipe sr20detmegan elbow sr20detmegan bottom turbo manifold KA24DEgreddy type M FMIC for s13 sr20dethot pipe for s13 sr20detstock SR 370cc injectorsafc neoearl's return/feed oil line complete kitstock MAF for now

im not too sure what kind of boost controller & turbo timer i will be running. anything i might be missing????

my question is will all the parts like FMIC,elbow, d/p etc will have a direct fit????

i heard i might have to weld or add an extra peice to make it fit perfectly because it might be a little off. is that true????

also how does that set up sound????

LMK! thanks

ditch that safc and save up for an enthalpy ecu tune. safc just sucks and i wouldnt recommend it. but if you want to use it, i would retard base timing 4 degrees and run 8psi on the t25 because anymore boost and you cant control timing enough.

ooks like youre missing a walbro fuel pump to feed your injectors and a wideband sensor for you to tune with.

FMIC should fit if you use a slightly longer coupler for the throttle body.

setup is pretty good, just get a good clutch for the bump in torque that youre gonna get.

stock fuel pump will do the job, but i dont know how long it will hold up. just spend the extra 85 bucks so you know for sure your fuel pump wont crap out on you.

a wideband sensor is for tuning. it shows your air fuel ratio so you can use with the safc to tune. how were you planning on tuning the safc without a wideband? just mess around with the numbers? thats a good and quick way to blow up your motor.

Check this out from one of our sponsors, Injected Performance. zerothread/125870

He sells the AEM WideBand for 250$ shipped, and the Walbro 255 HP with the install kit for 85$ or 88$. I also got my KADE Koyo from him for 265 shipped.

Awesome sponsor, and I got alot of things from them. Talk to Marty.

Zeitronix owns all.. Check them out, they spank the AEM unit for sure. Cheaper than a LM-1, and a much faster sampling rate.

However never used the PLX devices, they seem to be expensive for what you get. You buy one, and the company's idea is that you will buy a set of their devices to daisy chain together and get a full gage setup.

Zeitronix if you have a laptop, the data logging software makes tuning a snap.

would it be alot better if i had a tune enthalpy ECU?

or go AFC NEO w/wideband sensor?

which is alot better and cheaper to go with?

i know about the ecu that i will have to send my ecu for them to tune it with whatever set-up i am running but then which is alot better????

i done my research on the ecu and afc but then many people have many different opinion.

LMK!

thanks!

Send your ECU to enthalpy. Trust me one this one. How much you looking to spend on a turbo setup? I just took mine off my car to go a different route. Was an IAP kit.

enthaply is a great way to go

i personally had no issues with my safc for the years that i had it. good chance i will run another one on the new car for fine tunning since enthaply does not offer a tune for my setup

Yeah. I ran a SAFC II and wideband on my car for quite awhile, never had problems. I ran a good 14psi with it, and set timing to 16btdc.

I'm going with a enthaply ecu this time though. I'm too lazy to tune from 0 again. lol.

just me but a rom tune owns the fizuck out of an afc setup.

Although alot can be done with an afc as for fine tuning. So if you can afford both, get it.

as for wideband man I swear by my plx, no issues with it whatsoever.you can put the plx smafr with a cheapo summit a/f ratio gauge and rock a wideband for under 250 shipped....

Before heavy boosting you need ot go to a dyno with your enthalpy tune or have a wideband borrowed. Just to make sure everything is working correctly.

Zeitronix data logs RPM, Boost, EGT, AFRs, and a 0-5 volt user imput. I use this for my MAF, to make sure its not maxing out. You could also use a BMW knock sensor for it, they are much better than the Nissan bosch units, that have alot of false positives. Also has a 7 times faster sampling rate than the LM-1.

Of course you wont be able to datalog EGT and Boost without the senders, but its nice to know you can always upgrade it when you feel like.

Ontop of that, you can get a warning light/buzzer that can give you a warning if any of your values get out of whack. Say, you want to set a two stage alarm, say, if your AFRs are higher than 12 and your boost is over 10. Or whatever, you can mix it up.

I swear by my Zeitronix unit ^^

You really really need to get injectors man. If not, you need to throw in a walbro fuel pump, and get an 8:1 FMU or something. If not, you're gonna pop that motor if you start to boost it. Save up 100$ or something and get some SR injectors. Hell, even if you don't have an SAFC, it's better than not having enough fuel. Too much is better than not enough. I'm not sure if it will idle well. I've half ***'ed a few things, but not that kinda stuff.I'll see what I can find for cheap... I may be heading to the junk yard today. I'll let you know what I come up with.
