As long as there's no rust I'd pick that up in a second.

iirc, the coupes weren't offered with the ca18e (the de's weren't used in s12's), but i could be mistaken.

do'n it lol he is driving down saturday and im giving him 395 (aka 400) he has to drive 1.5 hours lol and its only an extra 20 bucks. im excited. i have a friend that works at a lube shop and he is going to flush the trans for the price of the fluid. so i will see if that fixes it. anybody ever rebuilt an automatic? i have taken one apart in auto shop 7 years ago but it was a chevy turbo 350 which i heard is one of the easiest to do and i dont really remember it much.

HI my names Nate and i may now a little about the s12. (hence my name)
First s12's came in 2 generations MK1 and MK2. MK1's have either a CA18ET or a CA20E. (CA18ET was not offered in auto.) Mk2's Came with a CA20E and a VG30E in the SE model. Only in japan was there any other options, the FJ20ET. Even though the Engine code doesn't mention this the FJ20ET is a dual over head cam and is the older brother to the SR20DET.
Unfortunately a flush most likely will not help your transmission, but s12 parts are really cheap! To find a junk yard with a CA20E manual (c-trans) usually it is pretty easy and most likely you could purchase all the necessary parts for a manual swap for under 150bucks.(make sure you take the flywheel)
Also there is ALLOT of info on one of my favorite sites. http://www.club-s12.org

All in all S12 are great and they have a awesome retro 80's tuner look. Buy it and have fun!

thanks for stopping by. ya i dont know much about the s12. i know a ton about the s14 though. i also didnt think the flush was going to fix the trans, but i figured i would start there. i wont find a 200sx in my junk yard at all. and probably wont find one anywhere close. if i did find one in mine they would probably want 400+ for a trans alone. they are the only one around for 3 hours so they jack up the prices. ill be checking out club s12. thanks for the link. and ya i have done a manual swap before, i know what all goes into it thanks (:

lol yes we can be friends lolz. And say you dont like sr's all you want but after i give you a ride you will atleast respect there holy glory lol. (ka vs sr shouldn't be compared. I respect and love the KA but i have driven KA-t's and still love my sr more.) My wheels now are i believe 18x8 i think lol came with the car. And i am selling them i want 150bucks for all 4 (no tires) plus shipping, but in your case you could pick em up :P
