I was thinking about buying a nismo cat back exhaust, I know the sound will be better than stock, but whats it like in higher rmp range ( i don't want to sound like a high tech lawn mower coming down the street). Also what are the proformance gains if any, I resently bought a fujita intake that it's gains were minimal but for 168 shipped i wasn't streessing over it. Is the nismo exhaust is really worth the 687?

dude, go straight pipe... keep the resonator for sound... it sounds throaty and mean... and the gains are noticeable - PLUS its only about 100 to 200 LOL vs a 1000+ nismo exhaust that does the same s**t.

err .... doesn't a straight back mean you wont pass an emissions test, since you remove the cats and mufflers?

i dont want to lie and say i notice anything other than the sound... its hard to seperate the two... you wont hear your intake anymore, thats for sure though... im not sure if my inexperienced-arse will notice any gains from after market parts other than a turbo lol

zero.. .its a matter of means and desire.. you can get a d3 hookup for a little more than the exhaust would cost you... which would you like more? You could also just do the axel back..... idk its personal preference... i have 20s dropped with a swaybar...too rough for most drivers.. i dig it though... what do YOU dig?

@ ZeroEv:I've been wondering the same thing. I too have searched but haven't found anything conclusive...

@ theoctopussi:Dude, your straight-pipe sounds sick! It's pretty deep...but too damn loud! Hell...it sets off car alarms! LOL(I commented on your YouTube vid a while back!)

On an N/A exhaust wont do much gain in performance. You will not even feel the gain compare to a turbo car. I have owned both an N/A and Turbo car before and you will feel it more with turbo and exhaust.

N/A and exhaust you pretty much gain nothing.

Yup Stillen is good.

I haven't noticed anything besides the sound and the look... But that's the whole point I guess.

If I wanted to squeeze horses out of my 2.5, I'd rather squeeze my wallet for a 3.5SE!

DO NO BUY THE STILLEN AXLE AND THEN DO CUSTOM PIPiNG FROM YOUR CAT BACK. BUY THE FULL CAT-BACK IF U wANT STILLEN...

The Stillen mufflers are meant to be resonated and they sound absolutely HORRIBLE with that done. you will get a constant rattling from the mufflers..
