A question for you Wiring Gurus

I currently have an ApexI multichecker wired up in my car and i have a safcII that i want to wire in. I'm just concerned with how my reading from the multichecker will be affected and if having these two things both wired into the ECU next to eachother will affect one another. I'm just asking because i know a friend who had an Air/fuel ration gauge installed in his car and it was wired in near the ecu by his SAFC and it completely messed the car up untill he decided to rewire the air/fuel gauge farther down the line in the engine compartment. Things were then "all good". Anyone have any input?

If you have to splice the safc into a wire that the multichecker is spliced into make the connection away from the other one. I'd personally keep it at minimum 3-4inches away.
