How old are you?

Maybe its just me but if take advice or get flamed by somone i'd like to know how old or young they are.

If someone gives you advice, evaluate it on its merit, your own knowledge, and what you hear from others. The age of the person giving it (high or low) is irrelevant.

Me? I'm somewhere from 14 to 60, so who knows what you'll think of my input.

There are a lot of smart people on these boards - some of them 14, some of them 60. Don't judge someone based on their age, in fact, don't judge them at all. Judge the information on its own.

age has ntohing to dow ith it, i know when i first started reserachin 240's and nissan my freshman year fo highschool i instantly found out that i was a complete moron....within months i was proving seniors left and right wrong and proving the guys my dad worked with (Timonium Truck....basic body/engine shop) wrong

although i dont know if we have any 60+ yr olds on these boards, it still doesnt matter

I think it IS just you. What difference does it make, really? And does it only matter when you get criticized or flamed? Do you ever wonder if your posts are being validated by 12 year olds? Of course not!

As far as I'm concerned, a member's actual age is irrelevant. The clarity of thought and the use logic and reason are aspects by which I judge "age." If a 45 year old came on these boards and was posting crap like, "SR motors are better than CAs because replaced CAs with SRs," then his contributions, good or bad, would carry less weight than say a 17 year old high school student who might say, "SRs replaced CAs because they were cheaper to mass-produce." The earlier is only trying to validate an opinion, while the latter is using reason to illustrate truth. Again, clarity of thought, and the use of logic and reason.

At any rate, I'm 21 and if I ever flamed you, you probably earned it.
