so the pic above shows someone's setup (who's i dont know) and i found it interesting that they have all those lines going to the intake tube. Now they look like two lines which come from under the intake mani? correct me if im wrong but is that wise? also i know that the one leading to the valve cover could be eliminated and replaced with a breather on the valve cover. if say those are lines from under the intake mani, would the reroute of these to the intake tube cause the engine to have better vac?

Thats ghostchild316's setup. He has IACV(which shoudl be on the coldpipe), valvecover breather, and the PCV valve vent. He has modified his PCV system so boost doesn;t hold the PCV valve shut causing blowby to be forced out of the valvecover breather.

It is wise. But the PCV hose shoudl be run into a catch can with steel mesh in it to catch oil and such. The oil can lower the octane rating of fuel. The catch can accumulates it and allow for the oil to drain back into the crankcase.

so you have to run the IACV hose on the cold pipe?, wouldn't that run small boost around that hose and into the IACV?

The IACV can be ran from any metered air source.

OEM IACV inlet placement on the SR is on the cold pipe which is ideal for physical placement.

so then would this setup be better than say just hookin up the IACV to the cold pipe?

IACV should be hooked up to the cold pipe IMO...it can leak air under pressure...so you want both sides of the valve pressurized.

Yea that is my crappy setup I had some problems with it setup like this.It was sucking oil from the valvecover breather and getting all in my piping and my BOV.Plus it looked ugly.I've changed it since, car runs alot better now.Even ran a 14.2@99mph at the strip!I also tossed the hose that was on the valvecover tube.
