the bumper knobs and done some body work up there to smooth things out?
Mine are smashed up and look awful. Is it a bad idea? Too much work?
I was even looking if the smooth 2001 bumpers fit on my '98. ha.

Go for it! I dig the smooth look. Shouldn't be too big of a bodywork job. It would require hacking the Knobs off and just patching/smoothing over the holes. Then paint, of course.

Oh, a closer look and I see what the OP is talking about. Shouldn't they just unbolt or something? I wouldn't know since I have a PF.

That black center piece including the "knobs" is one whole piece. Actually, the whole lower bumper is one piece.

no doubt. Will a 2001 lower bumper fit a 1998? Such as the two pics above?

the foglights are different, but I would think it should bolt up pretty easy.
