I got a 350z in the dealership today, that wouldnt move at all. An obvious problem with the clutch hydraulic system. I got the trans out and in the 07 and newer 350z they replaced the clutch fork that is pushed by the pushrod coming out of the slave cylinder. NO, nissan decided to fix something that was working perfectly fine instead of fixing the stuff that is ****ed up! In the 350z they now use a "Concentric Slave Cylinder" which has the bearing attatched to it, and it is a PLASTIC housing that uses the hydraulic line coming from the clutch master cylinder to press against the pressure plate, etc. but this PLASTIC housing has a PLASTIC plug in the bottom of it, and of course that PLASTIC plug developed a hole and leaked all of the clutch fluid out of it. I dont know whose bright idea it was to mix PLASTIC and BRAKE FLUID/CLUTCH FLUID!!

So after telling this whole story about the 350z, i had our parts guy look up if our cars with the 6MT had the same part, and sure enough the part is the exact same idea! i cant wait for the problems to come......

Now I see how my non-doctor friends feel when me and my colleagues are rambling off random everyday medical jargon...

Sad to see Nissan taking the "cheap" route, especially with a popular car like the 350Z.

Figures,...You kinda have to wonder if Nissan (or for that matter, any car maker), does that on purpose (put in non-durable items) so that the part may fail over time and the upgrade to the failed part is a more durable item which should of been installed in the first place. It's all about the profits! Kinda sucks!
