Does anyone have first-hand experience with using an a-pillar pod on a 'vert? Don't tell me they're the same as the coupe/hatch, either, because they're not I bought a single 52mm a-pillar pod from one of those Ebay companies, listed for an 89-94 240SX, and it didn't fit; it was too rounded. The pillar was too flat.

After looking into it further, I realized that the pillars aren't the same because the 'verts don't have automatic seatbelts. So the a-pillar on the coupe/hatch bows out more. Yet, all the vendors that specialize in 240s (phase2, enjuku, frsport, etc) don't sell 'vert-specific a-pillar gauge mounts.

Anyone know of an a-pillar mount that definitely fits our cars?

Never seen a made one for the Vert. Every one has been 'customized' to work that I know of.

I took a regular pod and sanded the edges down till it fit. It's not perfect, and I hate it for that.

The miata gauge pods look like they'd be a better fit IMO.

I was hoping a few years ago to have someone custom fab a bunch of a pillar interior piece replacements with a double pod molded into it, but that fell through.

Funny you should mention the Miata pod ... I just kinda test fitted one from my friends turbo kit we just installed, and yes, with very little modification they should fit rather well.

He's using the A/C vent to mount is gauge instead, so if I can gank it from him I'll get some pics.

I put a double gauge pod in the air vent on the center console... above the climate control unit. I think they look sharp there.

The Autometer Pod for a 92-95 Civic fits a convertible nicely with no modification.

Do you have pics? I much prefer gauges on the A-pillar rather than the center console...much sexier.

Have not seen anything posted since March. Have you been able to find a good fit?? I started looking on Ebay , & was about to buy. Thought I better Check on NICOfor the pros & cons, & thanks to the "search" found out it was not so straight forward. I am on hold until I find a perfect fit. Any input (I am a picture guy ) to update us on that would be great.

i bought the egay one for an s13 and fits alright. if you dont mind the small cutout for automatic seatbelts. its just a cover anyways. shaved a tad bit off and mounted it in.

is there any more word on the civic pillar? I chopped up my a pillar for a "universal" dual pod and have been kicking myself (trying to "solder" plastic back in unless I can find a new one). as far as the vent pod, here is mine, I bought it exactly the way it looks.

I have the ATI EZ Pod and it fits great!!! Aesthetically, I highly recommend it over the A Pillar pods.
