That's similar to the phone I currently have. Mine is the LG Voyager (LG-VX10000) for Verizon except no detachable keyboard.

How do you like the Voyager? I'm about to move to Verizon from T-Mobile in May and was looking at that one. I haven't seen it person yet though.

It's great. I like the qwerty keyboard, makes it much easier and quicker to put out text msgs compared to the numeric keypad. The front is a touch screen that can be locked and unlocked with a sliding button on the side of the phone so you don't accidently press a button on the phone. I stuck a screen protector on the outside so it doesn't get all scratched up if I drop it or in my pocket with other things.

The camera itself takes some decent quality pictures at 2.0 mega pixels. There's a MicroSD slot for memory storage if you want to store music, pics, movies and such. SanDisk and other companies have them up to 4gbs of storage.

You can listen to MP3s with the 2.5mm earphone jack, they sell adapters at places like Radioshack, Best Buy or Walmart where you can convert the 2.5mm to a standard 3.5mm headphone. Sound quality is better if you have a pair of stereo monitor headphones (i.e. Sony MDR-V600/900HD).

My biggest gripe is the fact that it's a bit difficult to dial a number with the touch screen pad. The buttons are a bit small and sometimes I dial in the wrong number. Great phone overall if you're looking for basic touch screen capabilities.

That's what I thought when I saw it too. Actually, it looks like a cross between your Voyager and the phone I have (LG DARE). Kinda like a Dare with a detachable physical keyboard.

I love the dare! I dropped my dare while it was on in the water and stupid of me to not dry it but instead turning it on and off, increasing the risk of the phone being short circuited, to test to see if it worked and the touch screen wasn't working as well as the side buttons. I let it dry for two days and everything worked perfectly normal.

I always use the virtual QWERTY keyboard in landscape mode. I don't have any problems with it but I am an average sized guy with average size hands. I can see how someone with really big hands might find it cramped for texting. The Dare is the best phone I've had yet (and I've had quite a few).

Dude, what the hell? I've never ragged on you before but come on.I thought it was funny, you read it...and yet you still commented on it.So that is a reason enough to post. The forum has been slow in the past few weeks. Trying to get people to talk.

I'm not trying to "rag" on you. I'm just saying, was this big enough to need a whole topic?

LG went the same way Nissan did with naming. What will we name our versatile new phone? What will we name our versatile car?

"Versatile is too long. We need to come up with a name on top of our new flooring decision."

"I like wood floors myself!"

"I don't like tile personally."

"That's it! We don't like tile! Versatile without the tile......VERSA!"

Sorry, I just tried to think of an amusing way they came up with the name. Does that mean there'll be an LG Tiida? Will people try to swap faceplates/rebadge their phone? Will they try to get more power out of them? I hope they realize the phone was meant to be an affordable, economy phone. You'll waste so much money trying to mod it when you could just buy a Blackberry for the same amount of money.

Phones and vehicles are two different things, that's like comparing watermelons and buffalo. The Blackberry is something I wouldn't lay my hands on, that device is too tacky, mostly women use them and I got my phone for less than $120 through Verizon. Yes, you can get a Blackberry through Verizon also but I didn't want it.

If Nissan started to make cellphones and electronic stuff, I'd get one just for fun and show. Now the next company to get into the electronics industry is Nintendo. Think of the possibilities, Nintendo microwave, television, radio, blu-ray players, it will never stop!

LOL yay. I can see it now. As I'm microwaving my Hot Pocket you have a little LCD panel that shows Mario running and jumping to hit the coin bricks. One coin collected represents one second. And then when he slides down the flagpole your Hot Pocket is done!

Oh god I hate Tracphones. I use to have to sell them and such when I worked at Radio Shack back in college. Horrible Horrible company to deal with as far as activating.
