was taking valve cover off to see if i could find source of a rattling noise that had started. when i lifted cover up, one of those washers that go under the valve cover nuts fell into timing chain area. i couldnt move the crank anymore thru the pulley, so i knew it was caught.

tried sticking a long magnetic arm in there, no luck. took the cam sprocket cover off to get more room, still no luck with magnetic arm. then i went to move crank to see if i could hear anything, and now it moves just fine.

but the washer is still in there. took down oil pan, 100% sure its not in there. the crank moves just fine, and i cant see or hear any problem from top or bottom end.

ANY ideas whatsoever?? thanks for any and all help.

EDIT:: FOUND IT was laying on top of crank sprocket, got it with that magnetic arm thing. thanks anyway
