I've noticed recently how badly some members are at spelling. I've also noticed the lack of English home work being turned in lately, so you're getting detention!

Is there a grammar/spell check plug-in for vBulletin?

Amen, I've pissed off several people by sending them to grammar websites etc. but by god, its pathetic. If English is your first language, you have absolutely no excuse for not making an attempt at proper spelling and grammar. Furthermore, proper grammar and spelling helps others help you. If you are looking for help concerning a problem you have with your car, its in your best interest to use your best writing skills in order that you are understood fully.

lol i beleive 1337 talk came from Counter Strike (which i love)

1337 is using numerics and any other symbols to make words.

also 1337 talk can be misspellings when you're typing fast in counter strike to other players. Like " you got OWNED" might be "you got PWNED" or like "hacker" is "hax0r". noob, as in noobie is "nub". stuff like that

blah blah blah welcome to the american school system (at least california) lol.

I have tried to improve my english in college but its hopeless.

1337 was WAY before counterstrike. It's a n00b'd form of the word elite. The movie Hackers was when I first heard it.

yeah bad spelling is getting out of hand, bad grammer is forgiveable. im not the worlds best speller, but the errors i make are phonetic.

See, I happen to disagree with you. I did not learn my english skills from school. Rather, I picked most of them up from reading a great number of novels and technical magazines. I have never had much use for school and generally went as little as possible and while there, slept as often as I could. The problem with school is that they attempt to teach you things that you may or may not need. I prefer to learn things when I need them, instead of learning some random skill that I may or may not need later. It hasn't failed me yet and its much more efficient. It should be noted that I dont think elementary and middle school were a complete waste, they did teach me a few vital things such as the alphabet, how to read, and basic math skills. Beyond those things though, most of what I know I learned by reading up on it myself. <<rant over
