I am sure some of our other members here have had the same issue. 2006 g35x, the cd payer doesn't work, got the "push eject" error. Got a used radio from another 2006 g35 from a junkyard, the seller doesn't know if it works but I got 10 days to return it if doesn't work. Replaced the radio/cd player but doesn't work, neither radio nor cd, and there isn't even any light on the screen. My question is: do these radios have to be programmed at an infiniti dealership? And if so, would there be at least some light on the screen if the radio was working but just needed to be programmed? It doesn't even show any light and I am wandering if there's something else wrong with it than just needing to be programmed! Not really sure what to do next but definitely don't want to go to a dealership and pay the money I don't have for something I can do myself ;] Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated.

I think the place to start would be the FSM

Did you check the fuses and ground prior to replacing the radio?

My original radio and all the ac controls still work so I am guessing the fuses are fine. There's probably something wrong with the used radio I bought since there is nothing on the screen at all... and if it was a programming issue I guess there would have to be something on the screen, at least some error code. So will have to return the radio and get another used one, I am still not down with an iPod and didn't really find any decent aftermarket cd changer for a reasonable price.

It's amazing that infiniti can make a great car like g35 with such a lousy stereo. Strange to say the least...

Thanks for the link Telcoman, it seems I'll have to educate myself a little more

I didn't think anyone uses CD's anymore

Ipod works great

I have a pile of cassette tapes and can't use them anymore.
Same with 45 and 78 RPM records

I know, got to get on with the program and join the 21st century... but I still like my cd's for some reason, although haven't had a cassette tape for 15 years at least. My modern evolution stopped at cd's ;]

You may have a bad AC board...not just the radio head deck. Check out these guys:
