So I recently purchased a new set up and had new TPMS sensors installed in the combo. I know that the frequency for the TPMS is set for the original stock setup so this must be reset. However in my attempt to cut some corners and not have to go to the dealership to reset the sensors I came along this tool.

According to the instructions I am supposed to connect the "female connector of the 3831 to the vehicle's connector" which is located behind the DLC connector. I have located the DLC connector under the dash but I do not see this "TPM reset plug" anywhere!

Would anyone happen to know where this TPM reset plug is or did I botch this entire thing and get a useless tool? Thanks

No idea where it is. But if i understand this all you do is connect it and it turns the light off? Just a one time thing? If so could i possibly borrow this after you do it?

There is nothing under there! I am returning this item from where I bought it. I called the dealership and they use this wand type item on the outside of the wheels to reset the TPMS. I believe you said you didn't install the TPMS in your new set up so resetting them is out of the question. The only thing you may be able to do is find the fuse to the light and disconnect it, but I don't know if that is connected to anything else

I don't know what that thing is supposed to do or where it is supposed to plus into.

I am not sure about the coupe is specifically, most Nissan/Infiniti vehicles use the BCM to control the TPMS system and if the system is not activated it will not search for new sensor frequencies. There is a factory wireless activation tool to reset monitors which requires a Consult to awake new sensors.

Maybe some of the guys here have found a way around that.

Don't buy it! That tool only works for the older TPMS sensors and not our style sensors. I showed this to my buddy who is a nissan tech a couple of months ago and what they use is an actual "wand" device that they go around the vehicle waving this damn thing around the wheel to pick up the frequency then they plug it back into the OBDII connector under the dash.

Oh no I have brought this back. Actually I found this via Google this time. If I added the pn other people might be able to help out here.

Schrader Bridgeport Manufacturer Part Number: 21370

Now several months later is there any new information anyone here can provide for or against this product. There is indeed a small connector taped into the main wiring harness on most models. I have yet to check into how many vehicles have this but I am mostly sure that it should (theoretically) be on all tpm equipped 02+ models.

I was actually looking for one of these tools again and stumbled across this on ebay yet again so can we bring this topic back for a minute. Anyone got some incite?

These are available online for $35 w/ shipping it might be worth a gamble but I already own a bunch of useless tools and do not really need another time saver that falls short.
