A New Q45 for $40.00! Thank You!

Hello,Yesterday I spent approx. $40.00 on ATF and followed the instructions I found in this forum on how to change the transmission fluid (repeating the process five times). It worked perfect! Although the transmission seemed to be running ok, I decided to give it a shot. It was kind of fun to see that dirty and smelly fluid gradually come out and replaced with new, fresh fluid.Now the car drives like new! Tks a lot!!

Don't kid yourself. You still have some ugly early death gunk in there.

Do a proper mechanical fluid eschange, with a pan drop and clean, filter replacement and new gasket and one time bolts from Joe.

Since the fluid was so deteiorated, you will benefit greatly by doing one now and another next year. Maybe twice now, even. Read the posts by Q45tech, not just the backyard shade tree ones by some other less fundamentally experienced members.
