I couldn't quite tell from your video, but was the door open? Did you have the headlights on?

My wife's Versa was doing something similar, but she's got intelligent key. Turns out that the ignition switch wasn't always getting turned entirely to the "off" position, which resulted in the same beeping when the door was open. It felt like we were turning it off, but it needed to click just a fraction more. With this though, it's awfully hard to tell.

Dude, your car hates you.

I have no constructive comment, Rockhound said what I was gonna, 'bout the headlights. Obvious, but its better to start there.

I have the i-key on my Versa, and if the switch is not all the way to "off", it'll do this. It will also make a similar noise if the car is not in Park, which does happen occasionally since my old car was a stick and I'm still not used to putting it in park when I stop. Speaking my my old car - it would do the same thing. I could take the key out when the switch was not turned all the way to "off" -- and then when I opened the door, it would beep. I'd guess there's something funky with your ignition switch. Does putting the key in and trying to turn it toward off again help the situation?

its from your connection things, you know those small pins, you should take it to a car shop for them to check it out, you may have a fried one, I used to have that on my old Ford Windstar, it kept doing that off or on even while driving, soon the turn lights stopped working, had to change those pins.

Did you verify that the ignition was turned entirely off? Perhaps the switch releases the key before it's turned back all the way. Just something to try.

I thought it sounded silly with our Versa, and I know that you don't have i-key, but it's just a thought.

Okay. Now I got the same problem too when I'm driving. It isn't consistent -- it sounds for a while, stops, then sounds again. Same exact noise. All doors are closed, and headlights are on. (I'm driving while this is happening.) Handbrake off, in Drive, of course.

Any help? =)

By the way, this happened after I was trying to start the car, but didn't wait enough in the key's "most forward position," so stalling the car. (As you can tell, I don't have a good grasp of car vocab.) I tried again, works. But the sound started then...
