Hello to all. Fresh off a round trip to pick up an eBay-won 2000 G20 (first car for daughter #2). After a few close calls with other possibilities, she had fallen in love with the G20 as she was diligently browsing craigslist and eBay.

What a beautiful car...got the touring model, too! But...car seems to buck a little when shifting (automatic) from 1st to 2nd unless you gun it a bit. I know she would be heartbroken if this turns out to be a major problem. With only just over 95K on the car, didn't expect any kind of transmission problem, and due to the timing and distance of the bid, didn't have an opportunity to check it out before bidding.

Thoughts??

Thanks.

Good choice on getting a G20.

For the transmission issue, maybe a fresh transmission fluid change would smooth it out a bit. I know old fluid can cause uncomforable shifting.

Appreciate the feedback. Was thinking/hoping a fluid & filter change may be all that's needed, but with no familiarity with the make & model, was just wondering about a particular history of this.

By way of quick update: had mechanic friend drive car and found it wasn't a shifting problem but something that happens in 1st or 2nd gear when holding a steady 1500-1700 rpm. Car bucks/surges constantly. So could still be a transmission issue, but maybe something else?
