Yes, thats right. Espilir springs for G50. Compliments of Robert, aka audiovisiony33.

He got the espilir springs for the Y33's and he got the ones for the G50 for me to try. If I like them, which I dont see why I wont, maybe he will bring a bunch over.

I got them for cost, so im not going to say what I paid. Hopefully im going to install them in the next few weeks....

The quality seems to be amazing, and they arent progressive rate springs so hopefully this will improve my handling qualms ive had with the car this past year.

The spring rates are 4.6 kg/mm(F) 4.2 kg/mm(R). I dont remember what the stock spring rates are but thats slightly stiffer.

You are using cali customs currently aren't you? You think these are going to be better? How about ride height? Think they will be lower/higher/or same?

Do you have a guess on what you/they will be able to sell them to us for?

I think robert said about $350 shipped, minimum 10 orders. maybe less? Theyre pretty expensive in Japan.

The ride height should be about the same, at least i hope it is. I'll have to check the chart.

I think theyll be better for handling since theyre not progressive rate springs. But the cali-customs may bea better choice for a daily driver sort of thing.

So less lowering than the Cal Customs and they're not progressive ... I'll be interested in your "review".

It would be nice if we could find a decently priced coil-over offering/set-up.

I really REALLY like the stance my car has with the cali customs.... but if it improves the handling im all game...

Tech... what do the stock Q springs have in terms of spring rate? My main concern is the tokico blues not being able to handle these bad boys...

146lb/in and 123lb/in = 2.63Kg/mm and 2.20Kg/mm (?). "Slightly" stiffer, ya.

holy crap these bad babies are about 2x stiff.... I dont think the tokico's are going to be able handle these guys real well, so we'll see.

At these stiffness levels the blues might last 15k vs 60k with old Eibachs or 80k stock.

Doubtful that blues can even partially control rebound especially on rear good luck.

Pretty painful in more ways than one to reduce body roll by half 1.75" vs 3.5".

Can you supply the unmounted spring length so we can calculate the natural spring frequency.

Careful about too large or stiff rear sway bar [stiffer than 20mm] as the published spring stiffness will decrease the rear understeer by 9% vs oem.............

4.6/4.2= 1.09 vs 146/123= 1.187

Everyone knows the higher performance you get the sooner parts will die out. This is no different, he wants a performance suspension thats what he has this for, granted its a little bit shocking how quickly it will wear some parts but im betting it would be quite a noticeable change

Well, obviously we need some accurate measurements to determine if these will even work on the street. Even 50% stiffer wouild be near terminal go kart stiff. Even with custom shocks.

96Q owner, here is the original thread on the lowering springs you mentioned in the now "LOCKED" suspension thread-lots of info!
