Welcome! I got mine just last week and I'm still playing with it, I got a manual so dusting off on shifting again. I can't believe I own something this nice as well. I got the 1.8 S hatch and I'm shocked at the room inside and quality of the materials in such an inexpensive car. This thing feels like a limo next to my 12 year old escort that I was driving.

I like mine but a few things are making it feel a little... "budget". I can feel some kind of popping when i turn the steering wheel, the car clicks when I turn the wheel all the way to the left and drive (can't possibly be a CV joint going already), the exhaust is slapping the frame when I start it (EXTREMELY puzzled by this), and the rear power window makes a cracking type noise when I roll it up/down. Only at 30,000 miles. I haven't found time to take it to the dealer but they better do something about it because I DO love the CVT, quietness, ride, gas mileage, and interior considering it's level and price.

thanks for the welome! & goodluck w/shifting.been there done that. but I can beat your old ride, try a 20 yr. old GMC Jimmy!!! ??? no a/c, bad radio, if there was a dieme on the ground it hopped! so a camel could be considered an upgrade but thus feels supreme! let me know how it goes when you actually get out of your versa...i know i"m using every excuse to drive somewhere!

Well I figured out this exhaust rattling I get now. The heat shield is loose. I don't even know how it stays put. They are held on by these wierd "nuts" and one is missing but even if I hold it in place where it's missing, it still has lots of play. I don't see anywhere else it connects. This is the smaller heatshield piece that is closer to the rear end.

Good work! slowly but surely we are finding the problem areas and the cure for these rattles.

20yr GMC then I understand what you mean by supreme. My 12yr escort wasn't that bad at all, had A/C, automatic (I hated the automatic lol), MP3..etc Then it died and I jumped ship to the Versa.

Getting the hang on shifting, thanks for asking. About 70% of the time I find the catch point without thinking.. the other 30% I miss it or slip into the wrong gear lol. I really like the power in the manual. I too have used every excuse to drive it and now that I'm more confident with the transmission I'm going more into heavy traffic to practice on my stops and starts. lol

Good luck with your Versa!
