Can the human body even withstand the G-forced that would be the result of such quick acceleration. I'm too lazy to do the math, but I'd love to know how many G's that would be.

Speed of sound is what 720? 5040mph? What kind of mileage do you think it gets in city driving? BTW A trained pilot with a G suit can take about 9g's

This test pilot back in the 70's (I think) took negative 40+ Gs multiple times. He was injured after each time, but he survived...

You couldn't survive -40 G's, +40 for a VERY short time, but you wouldn't be awake to know it was happening. It will break all the blood vessels in your eyes, so you will be blind (but it's only temporary).

Acceleration isn't the problem as much as the decel. F-1 guys are having problems with Retna Seperation... imagine pullint 4x the G's.....

A lot of it depends on your seating position, and your natural ability to withstand G forces.

So maybe you can do -40G's for a quarter of a second. Stopping from 632mph in 1.4 seconds will do that to you I guess...

OK bursting the blood vessels in my eyes does not seem like something I wanna go through anytime soon.
