Hey guys, many of you might not know me but I've been an Infiniti M owner for a while now(08)... Well coming very very soon is my new (new to me) 08 Infiniti G35S premium package, tech package, sport package!! :yesnod

Plan to modify it!! So I'll be doing some shopping around on the G forums!! :bigthumb:
Neglected the G for a long time so don't know much about it... I'll be asking a lot of questions about fitment and upgrades like bbk upgrade requirements, exhausts, Intake vs. KnN, Coilover options.. Etc.

Miss my M45 but I'm excited to pick up this clean G(sedan)!! Love the fact that there are so much aftermarket support for this car unlike the M series!! :dblthumb:

Thanks! :bigthumb: I'm looking forward to starting this little project!! Not a big fan of engine modifying so for now strictly cosmetic, suspension, and breaks!! :gotme

Well do exhaust and maybe K and N that should be it as far as performance!! Only time will tell though... :dblthumb:

The FAQ and the how-to page on InfinitiG37.com has lots of good information.

I have K&N panels in our '07 G35s and have not really noticed any gains. The R2C's in the coupe is different. Contact Mike at tunerzstore.com if you want to upgrade the brakes to the sport Akebono's because it's worth the upgrade.

Thanks for the heads up on the KnN, I had a drop in on my M45 and liked the gains but later went with the R2C M45 Intake and loved it!! Brakes will be as soon as I need them (not right away) but do want them and I've seen the packages offered by the tunerzstore...pretty nice and good price!! :dblthumb:

You could also save a few bux and upgrade to StopTech slotted rotors with Hawk or Pmu pads. My '07 G35s sedan now has StopTech slotted front rotors and Hawk pads and it's quite an improvement over stock.

Do you think a HAWK pad upgrade would be sufficient?? My rotors are pretty huge and not shaking or anything(warped) for now, considering just an upgrade on pads :gotme
I've had two Infiniti M's and the brakes on those cars were bad (rotors were tiny for such a heavy car) brakes on my G are very good but need replacing very soon and not ready for bbk just yet! :bigthumb:

I'm running Project mu front pads and rear Hawk pads on my factory G37s rotors and they do a good job. The Project mu pads are more aggressive and more dusty than the Hawks. If you have a G37s coupe then you should already have the Akebono BBK.

I have an 08 G35S sedan without bbk!! I certainly wish I already had akebono but I don't :gotme also, I don't like dusty brakes, so maybe Hawk pads would be my best way to go for now!? :bigthumb:

if you dont want dust... go ceramic.

i had to immediately upgrade from the stock non sport rotors after having to turn them twice in one year... granted i am hard on my g37x and did put almost 40k on the car that year. But once i upgraded to aftermarket stock sized rotors ive been fine. I didnt want to go the BBK route as i think it would of been overkill and I have 17in Rims, not sure if the BBK would even fit, so more of a cost to get bigger rims and a BBK. with that said just the upgrade of my stock sized rotors and pads was a significant difference in stopping power and longevity.
