Well ive finally got my CA running. Its been an interesting set of problems since actually dropping the engine in the bay.

My ignitor was bad (wasnt getting spark), had to replace that. Then my injectors werent firing, so i had to get a dropping resistor. Then she would start but give it gas and she would want to die. Turns out i wired the MAF all wrong. Fixed that and was able to drive it very short distances. Had 2 coolant leaks under the intake manifold, and a bad coolant temp sensor. And one of my 12" electric radiator fans dies, so i had to order another. Sitting in the parking lot at work, after replacing the temp sensor, i blew the hotpipe out of the silicone coupler, so the next day i tightened them all down with my air ratchet so that doesnt happen again. Had to re-wire my electric fan controller, which mean tracing the temp sensor back to the ECU to wire it up. So now she starts, runs and stays cool. But i still have a million little projects to go.

I need to find out why my electric fuel pressure gauge lights up but gets no reading (was working before, thinking its a problem with the wires in the pillar pod). Need to swap in my DOHC tach. Need to swap the gears on my speedo sensors, which will require draining the transmission, again, and removing the shifter to refill it. I need to adjust both the wastegate and the blow off valve to get the right ammount of boost (im only looking for 5-6 pounds to start with, then max it out at 12 pounds later on). Before that i need to figure out where to get the vacuum for my boost gauge, or figure out why it barely moves when i feel the turbo kicking in. I have a oil leak from the banjo line going to the turbo. I have a vacuum leak behind the AAC solenoid. I need to find a used SOHC KA a/c compressor to get the clutch off so i can get the a/c working. Seems like just about every panel in the interior is out, both door sill plates, the glove box, both kick panels. All that needs to go back together. I need to see about mounting my EGT gauge in the console below the radio, then wire that up. I need to put the windshield washer jug back, which will probably be a custom mount under there since the intercooler piping is now in the way. I need to remove the alternator so i can a) fix a small coolant leak on the intermediate hose from the water pump to the t-fitting before the lower radiator hose, and b) tap out the ground hole so i can reattach the ground wire to it (bolt hole is stripped out).

But man im loving this motor. I took my friend, Joey, for a ride last night. He's a HUGE Chevy fan, used to own a Indy Pace Car Camaro with the LT-1. But he couldnt stop smiling when the turbo kicked in. I love this car!!!

Anyway, thanks for all the help. Once i get her sorted out more and cleaned up, ill take some pictures for you guys.

Later!!!Jason
