I See a lot of new KATs starting up, and some of us older ones working through some problems. As far as my KAT goes, some good and bad news. I had left her at home and took beater sentra with me to snowy western PA.....everything was great until winter break when i was a little too happy to get back behind the wheel again and possibly due to a little overzealous boosting ...i now have a blown head gasket...*Bad News* Good news is, I just ordered around 2K worth of parts, and after another 1K @ the machine shop having all balanced and milled...I should end up with a motor that can withstand the daily punishment i put it through. Heres the breakdown, let me know if i forgot anything.....

I'm in the process of ordering parts for my engine too, and I went with oversized "super alloy" ferrera intake/exhaust vavles and will be getting a 3 angle valve job, but no port and polish....it's not nearly as important on a TC engine, and for the price, I doubt the gains are that great. Then again, there's no great need for oversized valves either, but I wanted them to be more durable and able to withstand extreme heat.
Also, this could just be me, but I think it's a good idea to replace the oil pump/water pump/valve springs and seals while you're at it just to make sure everything is in tip-top shape....they're not that expensive.
New bearings would be a good idea too.
What about a new clutch/flywheel to be balanced with all the other rotating parts?
Also, where the hell are you (and everyone else) getting these ARP rod bolts for the stock KA rods?!?!
