last week I posted I totaled my 04 wrangler , and in the meantime im using my rb20 powered 240 as my daily driver , but im considering buying another vehicle for daily use, i just have too much time and money into the 240 to drive it everyday , anyhow we get alot of snow where i live and the 240 just doesnt cut it . Im considering buying a 98 audi a6 quattro sedan , it seems like a good car , the price is right its only a little over 10,000 , and im avoiding buying a new car at this time because im trying to stay away from another 400+ monthly payment , the wife and I are saving to build a new house so trying to keep the payments down a bit , any suggestions

my only input is that with cars like Audi and volkswagon if they do break down parts are very expensive.

not that this would be a lot better, but used WRX's can be had for pretty cheap.

I would love to own a wrx , but since my wife will be driving it also it has to be an automatic , and it would drive me nuts knowing how much more fun the 5 spd would be

what about the suby forester they look good(i think) and they still have all wheel drive... not to mention a family friend - that is the only vehicle in his driveway... he has one and so does his wife.. so they really like them

Check out the Subaru Outback. You can find good ones for cheap, they have amazing performance in the snow and, if the performance bug bites you, you can always swap in an EJ20.

Why not just get a regular 4x4 SUV of some sort, maybe a 4Runner or something in that class.
