The only thing this has in common with this forum is that the motor is 2.4L. Regarless, I figured some of you may be interested in seeing the 772 Wheel HP SRT-4 dyno we did a couple nights ago. Yes, this is the highest hp SRT-4 in the world right now

Do you mean right now as in ever? Or just right at this moment? Wasn't Sean Carlton's car a bit more then that. When he raced for Team Mopar they used the SRT4. Or are we talking about street cars only? Reguardless, that dude is going to have serious traction issues

As in ever. As far as we know (and the guys on srt froums) the highest to this point was 680 (and that was unconfirmed with a dyno sheet)

Damn...I know the 2.4 in the SRT is a bad little motor. Is he using anything else made by you guys or did you just tune it? Not that the tuning isn't somthing to be proud of, I'm just wondering what else AMS can claim. You guys are doing so well lately. If I wasn't such a die hard DIY guy, we'd be alot closer.

If I ever get my R32 stateside, I'll drop it off at your shop for a workout.

Here's an old article about Team Mopar with Shaun as driver. No dyno, but his car was fast. Team Mopar may be the first to break into the 6's with a FWD. I just read that Shaun Carlson also got the nod to race for Team Schumacher in Pro Stock.

Of course, there's a tad bit of difference between TM's car and the one you guys just built...lol.

wow, that was awesome... that motor is bad ***. If only Dodge put this motor in a rwd 2+2 platform car like the crossfire/slk chassis. 2.4l turbo, rwd, irs, and a lsd.... dahm, that'd be sweet

The best 4 banger made IMO right now is in the Solstace or Sky, as far as GM is concerned anyway. They've had the stock crank and block handle over 1400hp in testing. Probably the best RWD platform for a compact in years.

The SRT4 is a bad little ***** though, I just HATE FWD with a passion.

I'd be pissed to see a 4-door leave me behind.

My best friend has an 05 SRT 4 I just laugh at him cause it's just a neon with a turbo'd PT Cruiser engine which in turn is left over stock from the 6, 7, 8 gn Galants with a new head. Fast little car, but honestly I wouldnt want one. He's pondering the concept of an engine swap from a Caliber SRT4.

Having worked on his car i will say this, you have to have tiny *** hands to do anything in that engine bay, took us 3 hours to do the wastegate conversion plate b/c the turb is buried in the firewall, had it been anything else the job wooulda only taken 30 minutes. Personnally I can't stand domestics, the quality is garbage and the customer service and warranty the have is even worse.

My best friend got so sick of dealing with the dealer and the warranty that he just said f*** it and is gonna go ahead with plans to get boost toys even though it'll void the warranty. Trying to talk him into selling it and getting a used 350Z or RX8, better warranty, better cars, and just plain out better everything.
