heres the deal..

my rear passenger side caliper leaks brake fluid. i talked to the guy at Advance Auto Parts (a friend), and he said that if i rebuild the caliper, that i need a brake hone for the cylinder, or it'll leak. should i just get the $5 seal kit and call it a day, or is he right about it leaking.

none of the write-ups have anything to say about honing so im just asking. Thanks in advance.

i had the same problem when i first bought my car. I bought the rebuild kit and used 1000 grit sand paper to clean up the cylinder. hasn't leaked in 5 years.

well the problem was that the piston was pushed out to far, and i just needed to push it back in. +1 for easy fix!
