I've got a 1990 NA 2+2 and i have an issue or two that i need a bit of help with. I didn't really find an answer while searching thread. My idle seems to be having some trouble. Normally its at about 750 but lately its been coming down to 500 and i can hear the sputtering from time to time like it wants to cut off while the car is just sitting still. It has yet to cut off but i'm sure its close. When i was driving just a few minutes ago i also noted my oil gauge was at the first tick marker after the zero (30)when my rpm was below 3k and in a higher gear i.e 45 mph 4th gear but when i drop to third and the rpm hits 3k my pressure shoots to the tick marker before 120 (90). I'm not sure if that is normal or not but occasionally i did feel a loss in power for a brief moment while the oil gauge was below 60. It also seemed that the needle was confused i.e going left to right in short animation before kicking back up. I did have an oil change not too long ago so i'm in a stump right now and I don't really have the necessary tools and lack proper knowledge of Z32s. Worst off i cant find a mechanic around my town who has knowledge of this particular car so any help and comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

on the idle issue check if you have any leaks. check all the hoses small and big.

The oil pressure sensor's are pretty tempermental, most people who want to know a 100% accurate reading will use an aftermarket gauge. The little tiny hole on the sensor can get clogged up pretty easily. It is normal however to see a lower reading at idle and then more pressure at higher rpms. It should not have any effect on power.

For IACV: Check for vacuum leaks, clean and adjust IACV, clean connector and adjust TPS.

Btw it did seem that most of the above mentioned in my first post was with a warm engine in a cool environment since texas weather changes so fast
