Well the stock s14 interior has been bugging me for about 2 years now so I finally decided to put some effort into cleaning it up/modernizing it a little bit. I'll keep updating this over the next little while as a I get more done but here is the update as of now.

I've always had a love for pretty much any black material with red stitching on it, so its no surprise that mine is getting done exactly that way.

I picked up 3 meters of black vinyl. I wanted leather but for obvious price reasons vinyl was what I went with. My plans are to spray my headliner black (cause the gray drives me up the wall) using dupli-color vinyl and fabric spray, which I will post a DIY of when I'm done. Plus I'm redoing the following pieces-sun visors-shift boot-storage box cover in the center consol -door inserts-and a custom e-brake boot

Here is some progress/ before and after pics of whats been done so far

The old visors, in the stock ugly *** plastic gray material

just a progress pic of the old visors stripped

some color/ style testing of stitching

the old ugly/crappy fitting shift boot cut up for reference

driver's visor completed

up close shot of the drivers visor

I'll keep the updates comming as I go, its gona take a little while to finish it as its very time consuming work. MAD props to the mom for all the help, there is no way i woulda attempted the change without her. I'm sure an upholstery shop would cost several Gs to do the same job. This will probley have 20-30 man hours into it by the time its said and done. Now all i need is a perdy shift nob and an s15 steering wheel:)

Are you putting the vinyl over the entire dash also?

That dupli-color paint is awesome stuff, but you'll probably need at least 2 cans to cover the headliner. You can also use it with a clear coat to make dashes look brand new.

It will definitely take two cans of duplicolor for the headliner...and it looks great when you're finished! Really like the sunvisors. keep up the good work!

Well I'm finally all done, took the day and finished up, i'll take installed pictures later on once the car is all back together and back on the road again.

Here is the shift boot all done ready to be installed

ebrake boot templates being made up

ebrake boot done (ignore the paper clips they where just there for the glue to dry)

i forgot to take a before picture of my doors so here is what a regular s14 door panel looks like before (again not mine)

my door panel stripped and taped up

new insert ready to be installed

and my doors all done:)

That's pretty awesome. How'd you make up the template for the shift boot? I kinda need a new one, mines busted.

All the work is neat and professional looking - wish I had the home-ec skills to sow my own stuff like that.

the shift boot was pretty simple actually, i had a old crappy one that fit like crap, so i just took it apart to see how it was put together and cut the new peices a little bit bigger. thanks for the compliments though:)

Skylines are always a little bit special, but Bens R33 GT-R is just gorgeous! Complete with it's Veliside body kit, 18" split rims, graphics, re-trimmed interior, not to mention the Abbey tuned engine, coil overs, six pots, etc!
