A forum member over at (some other lesser forum) has posted scanned pics of the coming Nissan 370Z from a Japanese magazine, and it looks like things are going to get a lot curvier. It appears that the hood-to-fender dip on the current car remains on the new Z. However, at the front of those fenders appears a set of LED headlights unlike anything else on the road. And in one inset photo -- though we have no idea if it represents anything more substantial than fancy -- a redone front features a smaller center scoop flanked by much more aggressive fender vents.

There are some fuzzier interior shots as well, and the three gauges atop the center console look to be placed in much deeper cowls than the current car. According to (unnamed forum) moderator (unnamed moderator), the car will come with the same 3.7L V6 that debuted in the Infiniti G37 with the same horsepower and be announced in November, which probably means an LA Auto Show unveil is in the works.

Sorry guys, that little picture is the only one they had. I suppose they are really not all that ready to release it. That's why I called the thread a "teaser".

From what I found on the net, I plan on purchasing the 370 as soon as I possible can.

I agree that it looks sad. What's with the vanilla yellow color? Yuck! There's a Z at the local dealership that has not sold for over 6 months. It's that weird fluorescent metallic orange that turns a gross Pepto Bismol color in the light.

Wait, upon closer inspection, the front bumper looks like it's got an underbite with fangs. Sad bulldog with yellow teeth.

^^

Those are old, the ones with the sad face LED head lights are apparently official spy shots, they even have pics of the interior on autoblog (same nav as 370GT/G37), looks ok, I just hate plastic twist knobs, so cheap! Stick with the tried and true face button interface in the G35.

Just as the Infiniti G35 became the Infiniti G37, the Nissan side of things is about to undergo a similar transformation, emerging as the 2010 Nissan 370Z. The official reveal is scheduled to take place in about eight months, but a few magazine scans are depicting some leaked pictures of the hot new sports coupe. And yes, there are engine shot too.

It's not a full reveal, because there are definitely parts of the car that still camouflaged, but one of the shots is showing what the headlight unit would look like without disguise. Developed under the codename C53D (not to be confused with C-3PO), the new Nissan Z will have the same basic shape as the current model.

The most notable change will be the implementation of the same VQ37VHR engine found in the Infiniti G37. This 3.7L V6 pumps out over 330 horsepower. Other upgrades may include "dramatic" LED headlights and a "stubbier" rear end.

2010?

Thought the 08's were the last of the Z33's. Does that mean there wont be a Z car for 09 or are they just going to roll the 08's over?

I was actually at the dealership yesterday and the salesman said there will indeed be a 2009 350Z. The 370 Z will be a 2010 model coming out in late 2009.

The headlights are for real...a reliable source in Japan said that the Koito Mfgt. plant has production orders for the headlights.
