On the highway runs I had to let the computer do the shifting because I was holding the camera, if not for that the car when manually controlled shifts @ 6900 rpms, that brings it square to 140 mph
A lil Q45 fun
I was on the dyno for 45 minutes with the car running, we did 6 pulls that didnt even count before we could get a measurable one, we had 1 pull that came up 234 to the wheels but he stopped the run so we didnt count that one, once we got the first full pass it put down 228 and 239 for tq all stock with just the rear muffler removed and 194,000, now that we have the peremiters set for the dyno im going back to do some non heat soaked runs, should see the 230 plus mark again but for the whole run, if it doesnt start snowing ill probably go tonight, ill post more clips.
Thanks for the kind words, I actually would love to add a 240 like yours into my lil collection, but the next Nissan will be a 2002 Pathfinder Le, the Q has picked up some more HP since the dyno runs, I just added a JWT ECU and had my timming set, I was running at only 12-13 deg, its now @17, Thanks again.
This is my second SE-R, the first ran 14.2 @ 97 mph, it had a ported and polished head, Jun Cams, dual valve springs, 12 lb flywheel, AEB header with 2 1/2 exhaust, 11.1 compression, PR CAI, ported throttle body, and some other stuff I probably missed, the G20T has a 91 SE-R intake cam witha Premiera exhaust manifold, and 2 1/4 inch downpipe with stock exhaust, and a JWT pop on the end of the CAI, with 17ded timming, my current SE-R is waiting for a SR20VE swap so all I have done is the brake upgrade and exhaust with a intake, I would love a 240 though. The intake made the biggest diff past 3500, it pulls harder from that point on, its a blast when you floor it at 65 and it drops down to 2nd then shifts @ 7300:D
Hahahahahaah, actually the couple of rice races I had with it turned out very funny, this kid with a GSR swap into a CRX swore up and down that he could beat me from a roll, set him out first from 65 mph, man what a as@ whoppn he recieved, same thing with the ricer Neon, however we are a huge Nissan community here in the central Connecticut area and I have ran a couple of boosted SR20DEs, now I can admit when im beat, the first was my buds SE-R with a tweaked disco potatoe putting down 379 whp @18 psi, being the nice guy he is he turned the boost down to 15 psi, well as you would expect I got hammered, I told him lets do it from a 100 and sure enough the Q stayed out on him until 145-150, then came the NX2000 with a little less wild setup, same results, you cant beat power to wieght, im not mad because it was a loss to another Nissan, had it been a Honduuhh and I would have sold it, I did however beat up on a turbocharged Miata, it was good till about 120, then the Q would flex the top end charge and pull away, I however cant waite for the swap to be done to my SE-R, does any one know of an older 240 for sale, say like a 90 -92? You 240 guys are cool as hell, maybe you will appreciate this lil JDM items for my car.
