I don't know anything about off roading and me wife bought a place at the beach and have decided to keep the pathfinder down there. What would you guys recommend for a setup for beach driving? It does pretty good now, but I was given permission to do whatever I wanted to it. And wouldn't mind upgrading things to make the journey easier and cause less stress on the truck. Also, there were a ton of trucks down there that had air compressors built into there trucks, how do you go about that? The house comes out the front bumper. Anyways as usual thanks for you help

i would start from the ground up...

Tires are first, and from there see how it is, maybe a lift (not too much cuz that could cause problems, i believe more then 3 inches is playing a dangerous game) Better Intake system, K&N Drop in would work nicely against sand.

How is anything more than 3in of lift playing a dangerous game? Im running 6in lift and if anything it feels and drives better than stock ever did.

Main thing with sand as with snow is tire pressure, as long as you air down you should not have many issues with traction. And keep your momentum up, thats also pretty key. May want to invest in some sand boards just incase you do get stuck.

im more then certain he doesnt want to top out nor does he want a step ladder to get into his vehicle. Anything more then 3 inch of lift is unnecessary unless hes going to do s*** like you flying through open farm lands over dry creek beds and attempting to climb over civics. Hes gunna be along the sandy beach and to be honest unless hes out in dubai, a lift isnt even really needed more for looks and loss of fuel economy. nuff said.

How the hell you get 6" =-) I thought most was 2..any pics? Yea I do kinda wanna lift this and get some meaner looking tires on it. I'm looking at the ARB front bumper replacement, anyone on here have it? Might need to change some things I said earlier . This will be staying at our beach house, it will at times be taken on trips to the mountains with snow and we do lots of camping. I'm also looking at a nice set of tires for my oem rims, then buying some better rims with some nasty tires on them. Point I'm making I paid off my zo6 and I have a lot more toy money. But I want everything done right and I like the look. I just don't want any ghetto jobs on it lol. I would like to go down trails and what not but I don't like getting my truck nasty with mud or messing up my paint.Hope that helps.

please explain that logic... just so i can grasp any sense behind what you said...

Compared to what?! you increased your chances of flipping over 10 fold by lifting it that much. I can only imagine the amount of body roll youre getting, and the fuel mileage loss youre suffering. Were you not able to get over speed bumps before the lift or something?

LOL. What he said. :lolling:

But funny thing is, I've been considering lowering mine to improve handling. Over 80 I feel like the slightest turn and I'll tip.
