When I was doing a traffic school class (for a ticket I got in Santa Rosa), I came across a very interesting law.

CVC24953:

All turn signal systems, according to CVC24953 must project a flashing white or amber light visible to the front and a flashing red or amber light visible to the rear of the vehicle. Additionally, vehicles may have turn signal lights mounted on the sides of the car.

In other words all the harassment people get for having clear blinkers in the front is just harassment! Not Law Enforcement! Just thought you Cali-Drivers would want to know

Pretty good find, but I see lots of civics with clear turn signals in the rear making them illegal still.

True. In the rear they are illegal, but in the front they are legal. However you can run all red in the rear. You do not have to have yellow at all, anywhere on your entire car. Which is nice if you ask me. Since I just moved up here to Oregon (for school), I have to research this further to see if it applies to here also. Hopefully. I am not a big fan of yellow lights.
