I just found a link to this item on another forum. I think this would be fantastic for 'verts.

It's a Cusco pillar side bar. Like the base of a roll cage. It extends from the two seatbelt fastening points (high and low) and then to the footwell. Should really stiffen up the mid section of the S13. Which would be VERY nice for a convertible!

What do you guys think? $200 bucks in a little pricey for a hunk of metal.. but not too bad I guess.

seeing as how do-luck ladder bars and floor bars cost that much and sometimes more, $200 doesn't sound like a bad price. If you have a welder, and some rollbar steel, you could make them yourself for considerably cheaper.

EDIT: after looking at the page, we couldn't utilize that. It requires the upper seatbelt mounting point, which doesn't exist on our car. It's a the top of the B-pillar on the hard tops.

We're already pretty solid there.

Fender braces, such as the ones Drift Factory sells, are a HUGE improvement though.

Local guy has them AND ONLY THEM on his vert, it feels real nice. I turned him on to the CP Racing FSTB, should be an awesome combo.
