Hi guys,I've got a '92 vert and my driver side quarter window is off track...again! Back when it happened the first time you could still get parts but alas, no more (as you all know). I read up on all the posts relating to how to fix the problem and considered trying to fix it myself but I've just never been a DIY type when it comes to cars.So my question...anyone have any suggestions/recommendations as to where I might go in Los Angeles to get the issue fixed? Body shop, glass shop, shade tree mechanic, ANYTHING?I love my little vert and would like to go back to driving it on a regular basis when the lease is up on my Jag in a couple of months. Any advice would be sincerely appreciated!!!Faron

First, welcome to the forum! I see you've been a lurker for a while. Please take the time to add your vert to the registry.

Second, do you have any pictures of your vert? Please share.

Third, not to push you away form the vert forum, but consider also asking in your reigional Nico forum: zeroforum?id=150It's always good to have a lot of sources.

Thank you for the link to the regional forum. Feel like dolt but somehow I missed that those even existed!!

I'll try to get my info on the registry in a day or two and take some pics.

Thanks again!

I don't know of any repair shops in the area that do that kind of work.

You can attempt to do it yourself (there's a couple articles on this forum).

Mine recently got broken after getting it back from the paint shop - I fixed it myself - not perfect fix (i.e. you have to still jiggle the window just right to get it to go up) - good enough for now tho, so I'm good w/ it.

If you don't find anything in the next month or so, & don't feel comfortable fixing it yourself, I might be able to help you fix your window - I charge a nice meal, restaurants in LA are delicious, haha.

Yeah, I'm worried that I'm just not gonna find a place. I spent most of a day with the yellow pages calling local places and couldn't even get a nibble of interest. Hoped I was just missing something.

Hell of a nice offer to possibly help. Hope you mean it I think the reason I've been reluctant to try the fix myself is that I have so little experience working on cars I'm afraid I'll get it all torn apart and can't get it put back together again!! lol Any restaurant you want and all the cocktails you can handle!!

Checked out your blog and LOVE Candy.
