THE GUY IS A GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!!

I quote:"If you want to really go fast on the drag strip a better and cheaper choice would be rear drive Nissan or Toyota. Not only do these cars have more traction potential, their engines are considerably stronger and larger than most Hondas so they will be faster with less money spent."

looks like k-car is the only one of you that isnt crazy. I took out my back seat and put in a 36inch audiobahn with neon all around it and now i constantly run low 6's... Neon owns.

I still think even this guy is giving the honda kids false hope.

A 12-13 second street civic is pretty damn fast considering they are running 16's and 17's from the factory.

Every ricer may lower their expectations now from an unreasonable goal of 9's to what they think is a perfectly achievable goal of 12's.

RWD owns joo.

I agree. He interjected some realism but he probably figured they wouldnt want to belive at all if he said they'd be very lucky to get into the 14's with forced induction.(unless they outspend the value of the car by a factor of 2 or 3).

We outspend the value of our S13s by a factor of 5 to put it into the low 12s high 11s. : ) Fortunately, I think most 240 people understand that.

hondas, they are cheesey to many of them have after market wheels body kits, ect, if you want azz get a decked out honda, you want to go fast, get a sr20, put it in your 240, get some good rims and rubber, and hit the strip, if you want to do the body kit and chit thats fine, but still I'd rather be fast than look fast....

Nebraska I will agree on the part about "...want azz, get a honda" but not "want to go fast, get a sr20." I would say want to go fast?, get a 240 and use forced induction period either if its the ka or sr.

Not to insult the intellegence of anyone on the forum but an F-body is a camaro or a firebird (this being a 240 forum i didn't think many people would know that). And on that same note, if all you want is straight line speed then buy a "5.0" (late eightys early ninetys) mustang. Putting one in the 12's is pretty much childs play although they can't handle for anything.

Eh, people complain about F-Bodies and make fun of the mullet mobiles all the time here so most people know what it is. : ) Thanks for the clarification though, also, I completely forgot about the fox body mustangs. : )

You want easy 12's? Get a healthy Turbo Buick, ie a Grand National or a lesser known T-Type, open up the intake and exhaust, chip it, get tires and turn up the boost a bit and you're running 12's all day long with room for a family of five and their luggage.
