A Glimpse of whats to come...

Ok, been busy lately figuring out what to do with my S13... Decided on a paint color, Ocean Blue Metallic, which i snapped a couple of teaser pix for you. I don't know when I will have the time or funds to paint my car, so it will be a while before it will be painted. But it will give me something to look forward to doing I guess. The weather here in Kansas is getting warmer, so by the end of March, it should be nice enough to do some more painting (I was able to paint earlier this week because of a fluke 75* day )

My buddy was nice enough to give me a set of JDM power folding mirrors for free, so they are on the car... The only downside to this is, the set did not come with the wiring harness or switch. Since I had manual mirrors, I have to make my own harness and source a switch. Well I work at a Saturn dealership and parts are readily available to me. So when our parts department gets ready to toss out warranty parts, I have to take a gander and see what I might want before they do so.

Well I sourced a headliner harness for lighting from an Outlook, aka Tank, and stetched out, the wiring is roughly 20ft in length. In the bundle are about 15 individual wires, all of which are differently marked, so no confusion as to which wire is for what. So the custom power mirror harness is taken care of which left me with finding a switch. Well I also sourced at power mirror switch with harness from a Saturn Aura, and have since installed that.

Its not from a car that I know of... Its actually rattle can... Duplicolor "Ocean Blue Metallic Flake" $11/can... But rattle can is what I do, hence my title "Krylon King"...

I've also started spraying rubberized undercoating in my trunk and rear sections of my car, so hopefully I can quiet down the inside just a tad from my exhaust.... Gonna wire up the mirrors, or at least start it tomorrow, and re-tint my rear quarter and front windows as well. Updates come tomorrow...

And I might even visit the salvage yards tomorrow as well... hehe

Yea its been a while... And NO saturn is not shutting down... At least not for a few years, but by then, someone else will have bought them

I have the switch mocked up right now and it works! I dont have a proper switch to make them fold, but at least I can move the mirrors. YAY! I have pictures I will post later so yea. Now I need to run some wiring through the door so the switch will be permanent. OK back outside to finish up.

Driver side power mirror works! Now I have to run the wiring to the passenger side so I can power my other mirror. I dont know yet what I will do to make the mirrors fold, but I will think of something. I also took the opportunity, being that I was working on the driver door, to run new 14ga speaker wire.
