a future G35 owner with a few questions

This is my first posting so I won't get too creative.

Ever since I drove my neighbour's G35 Coupe, I've been hooked on Infiniti. His car is a black-on-black 2003 with an after-market California stainless steel exhaust. He says the car generates about 305HP. In my research I've checked out the Lexus ES330 and both Toyota Camry & Avalon; all excellent cars. It is the G35 that makes my heart go "pitter-patter". I've thought about a 2003 M45 but I'm a little frightened of the car's complexity and potential costly repairs down the road.

I plan to purchase by May or June and I'm trying to decide on whether to buy a 04 or 05 sedan. I have two questions today:

1. I'm aware that the G35 sedan went to 280HP & made some interior upgrades in 05 but were these refinements so significant that I should I should hold out for the 05 model versus saving about $5K on the 04 model?

2. I love the look of wood (checkout my username); if I bought the 06 Rosewood kit would it fit on an 04 model?

Most interior stuff is the same. Dials replaced toggle switchs. The wood in the 2003 and 2004 have fake cheap wood. It can't be replaced with 2005 and newer. On the exterior the black modeling is now body colored. Tail lights are round instead of square. And the hood has a single peak instead of a twin peak.
