Hello,
A few weeks ago my 2004 M45 was involved in an accident literally 1 mile from my family's vacation home in Florida. Due to a cruel combination not moving my seat back from when my literally 1 foot shorter GF driving it and my bloody floormat being way up towards the pedals when traffic went from 40 to 0 whilst driving over the Intracoastal Waterway (Spring Breakers urrgh), when traffic suddenly stopped I did not have the time to kick back the Floormat and avoid meeting the rear end of a 2004 Volvo XC.

Due to the Transmission being damaged, my insurance ended up deciding to total the M. The good news for any Y34 Owners is that I do not believe the engine was damaged and I have had literally all servicing done at the Infiniti dealer. The car has around 102,000 miles and is equipped with the Technology Package and Luxury Package. The interior is in excellent condition and I had purchased Michelin Pilot Sport 2 A/S's literally 2000 miles prior.

Knowing just how rare the 2003-2004 M's are, I figured I would give you guys a heads up. I ended up purchasing a Lexus LX470 which is pretty much a gussied up Land Cruiser. I really miss the M and hopefully a Y34 owner in need will be able to get some of the parts off my old car. I shutter to think about the amount of money I spent on maintenance. In addition, the windows have Huper Optik 30% Window Film,
Cheers,
ML

I'm glad that everyone was okay!

Are you looking for someone to purchase the car as a salvage or are you going to part it out yourself?

The most important thing is that no one was hurt. Humans cannot be replaced easily.

Sad to hear about another Y34 kicking the bucket, but ... life goes on! :yesnod

Mark,

You probably saw my thread on a somewhat similar loss to my Y34. As SZH said, glad all were OK.

I was lucky enough to find another great example, We'll certainly miss you and your data gathering efforts.

It's been great to have you among us and hopefully one day you can return.
