where does the ignitor chip plate mount? do i need to use the piece mounted on the plate next to the ignitor; and what exactly is it? what do i do with the tee on the left side of the valve cover?the turbo coolant line that goes around the back of the engine to the turbo is cut and pinched off and there is nothing coming from the turbo. does anyone know what size the turbo coolant inlet hole is on the turbo?

thanks

i put my ign chip on teh pass shock tower. the tee on the valve cover is a oil recirculator thing, should be a tank by the firewall that one of the tubes goes to and the other side, towards the front of the car should go to the turbo.

The ignitor chip plate mount's to the (RHD) drivers side strut tower. The ignitor chip is what amplifies the firing signal to the coil packs.

The T connects from the factory oil catch can to the intake before the turbo from the MAFS.

Is this a stock turbo? If it is, assuming it's a S13 redtop, there are bolts on the middle section of the turbo for oil and coolant lines. Run over to zilvia.net to download the FSM's to get diagrams.

no not the ignitor chip, what is the valve or whatever it is mounted on the plate next to the ignitor chip? do i need to hook that up?

also i don't have the factory oil catch can; is it necessary? if not can i just cap the one side of the tee?

You don't want to cap it, if no pressure escapes your exhuast will spew out a smoke cloud large enough to to cover 3-4 city blocks. Anyway, the valve thing may be the boost sensor.

If you have a S13 SR, the oil catch can is located on the same side as the T in the valve cover towards the back of the engine. It's got two hoses connecting to it. The bottom fitting on the factory oil catch can goes down tot he block, the block has a fitting for the hose. The other hose goes to the T on the valve cover. The other fitting on the T then goes to the intake before the turbo.

You do not absolutely need a oil catch can but I would suggest betting one. Cusco catch cans are only $100 bucks. Cheaper on ebay.

I'm not 100% sure but maybe to the cold pipe before the throttle body. It is a boost sensor so it's made to sense boost.
