I've joined other Nissan forums and none of them ever helped me so maybe you guys can.
A few months ago I bought a 85 720(Named Overhaul) from the father of my old boss for $500.
The night I bought the truck from him we drove it about 10 miles into town.
Now comes question number one.

Have any of you ever heard of a truck driving into town perfectly fine and then never cranking up again?

Well I solved that issue(Replaced the ignition coils).
And then we ran into the second issue I had to content with.
Getting the carburator to idle again. Which brings us to question two.

Have any of you heard of a carburator not idling unless both Ignition coils were firing?

And where the hell is the Proportioning valve for the rear brakes? I need to try to either adjust them out or cap off my rear brakes cause when you even poke the brakes the truck is stopped instantly.

I have had my coils and icm fail at once, I feel your pain, as for your carb, I would check your firing order for the coils, your exhaust coil only fires when cold... once the engine is at operating temp only your ignition coil is firing. swap coil wires and see if it solves the issue :) if it still does it then id check to see if they gave you a faulty coil and/or test the icm (ignition control module in the distributor) have you checked for vacuum leaks? as far as the brakes there isnt a Proportioning valve, sadly... but there is a nlsv (nissan load sensing valve) it regulated brake pressure by load tilt, should be on the frame near where the e-brake splits off. could be its malfunctioning?

There is some type of brake valve on the passenger side underneath (Outside) the passenger seat, and then the valve on the rear end.

I picked up the original manual for my 1981 720 at www.faxonautoliterature.com which of course is a HUGE help.

Cheers

I had forgotten all bout this thread I started.
I'm going to just replace the carburator if it keeps acting up like it is.
And we found out the issue was the brakes first off had nothing but air in them. and also they hadn't been used in so long....Now I just get to figure out how to replace the reverse Synchring or where to get a new trans.
