Just looking for other owners opinions on equipment for my '04 Murano SL AWD.

What is the best fitting winter floor mats for it???

Is there any negative affects from using a K&N replacement air filter? (Standard Drop-In not CAI)

& When in auto 4wd, when the 4wd engages due to snow is there any indications on the dash that it is active or engaged?

Thanks for any assistance,cheers!

WELCOME TO NICOclub! Glad to have you here in the Murano Forum! I have some answers for you!

1. The Weathertech floor liners are truly the best coverage. I personally have them in my '09 Murano. Here is a link to another thread that discusses the winter mats/liners.

zer...urano

2. There are NO negatives to the K&N drop in filter, I have them in my '08 Armada and my '09 Murano, and have had them in last 5 vehicles as well. I feel they are well worth the $50.

3. No, you DO NOT see anything on the dash when the AWD engages. If you have the VDC on your Murano, you would see "SLIP" on the dash, but that would be it.

Hope this helps!

"There are NO negatives to the K&N drop in filter" and very few positives.

Non oem non paper filters may prove less than ideal if you compare ring and bearing wear after 200,000 miles based on their below 5-10 micron filtering efficiency.

Depends on how you feel about any obligation to the poor 2nd or 3rd owner.

I have used the K&N cold air intake on my 240, but I have not used the drop in filters. Are they washable and reusable similar to the external filters?

Thanks!

Yes, you can clean them using the K&N spray, and then re-oil them with the K&N oil. I think they work well, and clean up rather easily.
