he guys. well heres the situation. theres a few things not working properly, and was wondering how big of a hastle it will be to fix. first is that my speedo has never worked in the year and a bit i've owned my car ('90 240sx FB) sometimes it will be 15-30 Km over, other times it will be 10 Km under, on a few occasions it flys up to 180Km and will just sit there, and the rest of the time it sits on 0. now heres the funny thing (and i've only really observed this once, but i've never actually stopped to look into it too much) when the speedo is out the speed/performance/and pull of the car are actually out as well. for example, and this is that one time i mentioned, i was on a downslope (10 degrees or so) and my speedo was flatlined at 0 while i drove, i had to come to a stop on the hill (speedo still at 0) and while at 0, the car actually wanted to pull backwards, back up the hill. then a little while later the speedo jumped around again and was doing the 15 Km over thing and this 'reverse pull' wasn't there anymore. any ideas on that one.second, a couple months ago i had to replace my rear subframe assembly, and in the process i broke the connector to the sensor attatched to my diff. after everything was fixed, while driving i noticed my ABS light was always on on my cluster, and later on realized that my ABS was not working as i would just skidd if i hit the brakes to hard. is that connector i broke the ABS sensor?and third, more recently i replaced my clutch, and when it was all said and done, my odometer and trip odometer stopped working. i bought an electrical cleaner made to cut grease, grit, grime out of electrical conections and soaked all 4 sensor connectors that are attatched to my transmission, but still no luck. what would have caused my odometer and trip odometer to stop working?
well thats all for now. i appologize for the length. if anyone out there can lend a hand it will be greatly appreciated. thank you.
